Graduated in economics and program of high management of companies by the IESE-University of Navarra.
He began his professional career in the banking sector joining Grupo Daniel Alonso in 1996.
Within the Group he has held different positions and responsibilities from commercial manager to the Presidency of the Board of Directors that he assumed in 2015.
In addition, he has been CEO of Idesa since May 2014 and director of different subsidiaries of the Group.
Jesús Alonso was Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Spain awarded by the consultancy EY.
In addition, he is President of the Jaime Alonso Abruña Foundation, Vice President of the Association for the progress in management in Asturias and holds various positions on the boards of different business associations.
Finally, he is the administrator of Jeal Intec, an investment company in newly created technology companies.
He has dedicated the majority of his professional career to the shipbuilding sector and marine technologies.
He joined the Gijon shipyard JULIANA in 1975, where he held various management positions, eventually being promoted to Managing Director. During this time, he participated in the construction, testing and after-sales service of a multitude of export vessels.
He stayed there until the beginning of 2011, the year in which he joined the corporate management of NAVANTIA in Madrid, as Director of Offshore Wind Business Development.
In December 2012, he was appointed as Managing Director of the NAVANTIA Ría de Ferrol Shipyards, which includes the Fene and Ferrol facilities, dedicated to civil and naval shipbuilding, as well as the manufacturing of large structures for offshore wind energy.
In July 2017, he was transferred to the NAVANTIA Technological Center in Madrid as Director of Shipyard 4.0, to lead the Group’s digital transformation, the implementation of enabling technologies and the new associated physical infrastructures.
In October 2017, he took over the management of IDESA as the Managing Director.

He was trained in the manufacturing sector for pressure vessel equipment, structures and civil work between 2004 and 2010 in several companies within the industrial sector, playing different roles such as project manager and site manager.
In 2010 he joined IDESA to lead the Field Erections and Shutdowns department. In 2018 he became the manager of IDESA Industrial Plants (IDIP), where he is currently looking for new methods to be developed throughout site work and Turnarounds.
PhD, MSc Metallurgical and Mining Engineering. More than 20 years of experience related to materials, inspection, pressure vessels and steel construction.
He started his professional career in ACERALIA (now ARCELOR MITTAL) as Quality Assistant in Gijón’s Steelmaking Plant in 1998. In 1999 he joined Lloyd’s Register (LR) Group. For 10 years he had different positions and gained qualifications in LR as a Materials & Industrial Surveyor, Senior Surveyor, ASME Authorized Inspector (AI), Supervisor (AIS) and Nuclear Inspector (ANI) among others. He performed his duties in the LR Gijón office up to 2006, being promoted to Industrial Manager for Northern Spain, based in Bilbao in 2007.
In January 2009, he joined IDESA as Vice-Director of Operations. Later on, he became Director of Operations in 2010 and Managing Director in 2014.
Since October 2017 he has been the Quality Director of the company.
After 20 years of experience at IDESA managing Projects for Oil & Gas business and offshore wind energy, she took over the Direction of the Commercial Department in March 2018 to provide expertise on contracts, manufacturing processes and knowledge about project execution to IDESA Clients.
Since her start at IDESA as Project Manager back in 1998, she has been managing design and fabrication projects for Oil& Gas Industry equipment such as: Vacuum Columns, Coke Drums, Reactors, Columns, Heat exchangers, Reactors & Regenerators for FCC & FCK units... all of them for international Projects.
In 2017 she was involved as Project Director in the supply of 66 Transition Pieces for Merkur Wind Farm in Germany, a challenging Project from the execution and contractual point of view.
He developed advanced skills as a mechanical engineer, mainly in the O&G sector. He started in a small company, exploring the chances of the FEA calculation method in 1999. He then joined Idesa in 2001, where he has been working for more than 17 years in pressure vessel calculations according to the ASME Code and other pressure vessel Codes (EN13445, GOST, PD5500...). He was in charge of the design activities related with pressure vessels manufactured by Idesa, including complete Code calculation, lifting analysis, seismic/wind design as well as shipping calculation. He can also do the thermal design of heat exchangers using HTRI / HTFS software. He has a lot of experience in Coke Drum design, mainly in the cracking and bulging effects, being in charge of the implementation of the FEA method for the cone-skirt joint fatigue analysis.
He is also well experienced in FCC and FCK unit design because of his involvement in the mechanical design for several FCC projects and for the two large FCK projects manufactured by Idesa.During 2015 & 2016 he took part in the Idesa team that got the ASME Nuclear Stamps N & NPT for the manufacturing of pressure vessels for the nuclear industry.
In August 2017 he started to provide technical support to the Sales department.
In January 2018 he took over the management of the estimating department where he is currently working as the Estimating Manager and is involved in sales activities for IDESA.

After finalizing her studies in construction, she expanded her technical background by acquiring skills in the development of structural systems and complex buildings in Sweden.
She started her career on IDESA Industrial Plants (IDIP) estimating team in 2015 with a clearly-defined sales vocation. Since January 2018, when she became Industrial Plants Sales Manager, she has been seeking for new challenges and areas to expand IDIP presence in the sector.

Alberto started his professional career in EDP Renewables, working in the Engineering & Construction department and focusing his labor in the transportation and erection of wind turbine generators throughout different windfarms in Europe.
In 2014, Alberto joined IDESA as Project Manager, from where he continued developing his skills in management and leadership, being involved in a number of strategic projects, both for the upstream (offshore) and downstream oils & gas market operations.
Since 2021, when he became Projects Director, he and his team are working towards the aim of making all projects a joint success for both IDESA and our clients.
She has been working in the Oil & Gas sector since 1992, growing up with IDESA from the early beginning. In 2004 she started with engineering activities also in the Marine Energy Sector and Industrial Plants.
Together with her team, her main task is developing engineering solutions in the three sectors, safe, feasible from the manufacturing point of view and as economical as possible, complying always with client’s requirements
Her role in Idesa has been not only technical, but also managing and leading people is one of the main skills she has developed during her professional career.
Excellence is her target.
In June 1993 she started the responsibility, leading the Engineering Department, and she is currently the Engineering Director.
She has developed most of her professional career in the financial area within the construction and metal sectors.
She joined the offices of ASTURIANAS ELECTRIC APPLICATIONS (CRADY) in 1985, where she held various administrative positions until finally, she is established as assistant to the financial director. She remained there until 1988, the year in which she joined the administrative department of GIJONDIESEL ASTURIAS, S.A. as financial director.
In May 1992, she joined TABLEROS Y PUENTES, S.A. as Financial Director.
In May 2002, she took over the financial department of IDESA, currently serving as CFO (Economic-Financial Director).
Borja has developed all of his professional career in the field of procurement of industrial companies, starting at Grupo Daniel Alonso, where he reached the position of Procurement Manager for the manufacturing, construction and environmental divisions of Daorje.
In 2008 he is recruited by Duro Felguera, where he starts as Procurement and Administration Manager of one of the companies of its manufacturing division. After a period of three years, he joins the Central Procurement Unit, initially as Project Procurement Manager for Projects in countries such as India, Venezuela and Australia, and, from 2015, as Procurement Manager for the Oil and Gas Division. In 2019, Borja joins SacyrFluor, where he performs the duties of Subcontracts Manager, for the RMF of the construction of a Polyethylene Plant in Portugal.
Over the course of his career he has acquired a sound background on global sourcing, purchasing strategies and contract negotiation. He is used to work on multidisciplinary and multicultural working teams.
Since 2020, he is in charge of Supply Chain of IDESA.
He is degree in Law by University of Oviedo, lawyer, member of the Gijón Bar Association and arbitrator of the Gijón Court of Arbitration.
He specializes in labor law, with an extensive experience in labor litigation and collective bargaining.
Since 2009 he also serves in IDESA, as legal advisor for the Steering Committee and corporate governance. In particular, he has advised on the rights and obligations of the Board of Directors and the operating procedures of shareholders’ meetings. He has also contributed to numerous M&A deals.

He has developed all his career in IDESA, where he began to work in 2010, just after graduating. Along these years, he held different positions always in the Production Department, starting with an internship in the workshop to follow as a junior engineer. He was promoted as Plant Manager and appointed as Operations Director in 2015.
Since January 2018 he holds the position of Production Director.
He has been involved in significant projects as Prelude, Merkur, FCC and FCK of Talara achieving key milestones and contributing to maintain IDESA as leadership in large manufactured equipment sector.
